Summary
This video profiles workers on the Spirit of Tasmania, which travels between Melbourne and Tasmania. There is plentiful footage of them loading the vessel and in the galleys preparing the ship for their passengers. The video explores the dangers in the industry and the casualisation of the workforce. The workers fear that working conditions are worsening and sometimes the vessel can sail short-staffed. The workers cite a lack of job permanency as a major concern.
